These are personal stories rooted in two neighborhoods in the Paris suburbs and two neighborhoods in Montreal. The comparison allows us to shift our perspectives, to question what may seem natural or self-evident. The objective was to connect two urban structures, two socio-political histories which have constructed two approaches to class, two relationships to immigration. A comparative reflection on what it is to be young in a working-class neighborhood in France and Quebec.
