Laura Ferro Higuera
This chapter takes a life-story approach to the migration process. More specifically, this chapter evokes the trajectories of forced settlement in Bogotá, thanks to Alba’s life story. This text seeks to position that narratives make it possible to give a complete version of settlement trajectories from the everyday point of view of a woman forced to settle in Bogotá. As they imply an active taking of the floor, they create narratives that give coherence and apparent continuity to dissimilar practices that are summarized in trajectories and that account for multiple mobilities in the urban environment.
