Produced in the spring of 2022 in Pointe-aux-Trembles by Alexandra Nadeau (Les Gorilles, among others), it features teenage girls talking about their experiences, preferences and needs in the neighborhood’s parks. Since 2018, Respire researchers Nathalie Boucher and Sarah-Maude Cossette have been touring urban parks, chatting with teens and discussing their perceptions of amenities, beyond safety issues. Adolescent girls show an interest in quieter, more sociable activities. And when asked, they say they don’t find the space to “talk, with friends” in public spaces.
