Based on research by Nathalie Boucher and Sarah-Maude Cossette in Montreal, and Alice Lancien in Paris, this animated documentary reflects on the comparative experience of young people in urban spaces undergoing transformation and gentrification. In the case of Paris, the focus is on the appropriation of street furniture (seats) by young people in the 18th arrondissement. In the case of Montreal, the research focuses on the experience of adolescent girls and their use of children’s playgrounds for lack of any other equipment intended for them. The short film shows the process of data collection and comparative analysis.
