There is a need to find solutions for the appropriate sharing of public space, and to pass on data to community organizations to encourage positive change. The research highlights the importance of understanding how different generations occupy public space, and how this can create conflict when users’ motivations and identities differ. In short, this research project aims to promote better coexistence between generations in public space by taking into account the needs and expectations of each.
