Jeanne Demoulin , Marie-Hélène Bacqué
Based on participatory research into the practices and representations of young people in working-class neighborhoods, this article examines the contributions and limitations of participatory methodology from the point of view of scientific production. What does participation have to do with social science research? How does it call into question its methodological and epistemological principles, the construction of knowledge and its nature? To what extent is it heuristically stimulating in this respect?
