This interview concerns the evolution of the experience of “becoming an adult” in European and global societies. Differences were observed in this experience in 2008 and in 2018. Cécile Van de Velde talks in part about increased social competition, the logic of experimentation, youth policies in France, and the importance of the family for French young people.
